ICONOsphere has been working with ICON Foundation for a long time now. It was during 2018, when we started with a workshop at Blockchain week and that has been the start point of this collaboration. We released the first part of our contribution which you can find here.
With time our relations with the ICON team in the US and Korea have grown stronger and we are continuing to build this collaboration. While ICONOsphere has continued to push forward the projects that were covered in the previous contribution article, our involvement with the P-Reps has also been a great opportunity to start some groundbreaking projects for ICON. Here we’d like to introduce some new projects in the ICON ecosystem with the following brief updates.
1. Balanced DAO
a. Project Description
BalancedDAO is a DeFi project that incentivizes people to deposit their ICX as collateral and borrow tokens pegged to the value of real-world assets. It’s a collaborative effort between ICX Station, PARROT9, Galen Danziger of Mousebelt, and ICONOsphere.
Balanced was also a winner of the grant program by VELIC, securing first place. It is an interesting project, vital to the ICON ecosystem, which realizes the possibility of collaboration between P-Reps for larger projects.

2. ICON TipTap Bot
a. Project Description
ICON TipTap Bot is a tipping bot in Telegram that was recently launched by ICONOsphere. ICONists or Tap holders can tip fellow users with ICX and TAP Tokens to promote a rewarding culture. The bot can be used to tip in groups or directly to a user in telegram.
Because the transactions for the tips are on-chain they are recorded transparently with a smart contract. The recurring fees for the smart contract transactions are paid by our team as a part of our contribution to the ecosystem. The Tipping bot was launched after taking feedback from many ICONists during the testing period. It has been getting a good response after its launch and has already been adopted by some popular ICON-related Telegram groups.

During our involvement in these projects, we continued with our efforts to restake most of our rewards to the ICON ecosystem. Given that, all our projects have been carried out using our internal funds till now. We are thankful to all the ICONists for their trust on our team and making it possible for us to stay at the top. We will continue to help the growth of ICON with our marketing and technical efforts.
